Cape Town

From Cape Town International Airport, your driver will collect you and transfer you to Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel for your check-in. You will spend 4 nights at this fabulous property situated centrally in the suburb of Gardens with a fantastic view of Table Mountain. Children receive a welcome pack with a selection of treats on arrival in the room including kids gowns and slippers, colouring books, a penguin teddy, kiddies themed bathroom amenities. The hotel offers kids DVD’s at reception and popcorn as well as a Kids Club area.


On day 3, you will explore the city on a private morning tour where you can view the sights of Cape Town with your family.

After breakfast and a simple checkout, your driver will meet you and transfer you towards the Cape Winelands. This scenic drive will take you to Babylonstoren, your base for the next 2 nights. Situated between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, the lodge is located on one of the oldest Cape Dutch fruit and vegetable farms.

Your family will stay in a luxury 2-bedroom cottage with easy access to the gardens. The little ones can partake in harvest activities, a scavenger hunt as well as join the baker to bake fresh farm bread.

For all members of the family, there is full access to the gardens at all times, a private guided garden tour and farm walk, cycling, mountain drives, harvest tour, bread baking with the bakers and canoeing or rowing on the farm dam. For adults there is cellar tour and wine tasting and the Spa on site at an additional cost.

Safari Begins

After a healthy breakfast and simple checkout, your driver will meet you to transfer to the Cape Town International Airport, about 45 minutes’ drive away.

At the airport, you will take a scheduled flight from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, on the east coast of South Africa for your safari experience. Once in Port Elizabeth, your driver will meet you and accompany you to Samara Private Game Reserve. Your base for the next 5 nights is the Karoo Lodge. Perfect for a family, the lodge offers private game vehicles with a guide and tracker.
